Michelle Hansen
VAFB/JPL Correspondent
Michelle Hansen has been a bona fide space nerd since she attended a NASA Social at California’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in 2014. The next year she landed a position as social media specialist at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and left California to live on Florida’s Space Coast where she could see rockets up close and work with astronauts. An added bonus of the job was assisting with all NASA Social events hosted at Kennedy Space Center!
Besides space, Hansen has a passion for national parks and she left Florida in 2017 to live and work at Grand Canyon National Park. Though she misses rocket launches from the Cape, she is closer to Vandenberg AFB and looks forward to west coast launches when they are not obscured by fog.
Stunning, full color photo book covering every east coast launch spanning 2014-2015, including the first-ever powered landing of a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket.
